Sapele Dining Chair

Growing up family dinners meant talking for hours, resulting in the conversation ending or relocating due to family back problems. The seat and back are shaped completely by hand and are extremely comfortable.

Completed during Danish Institute For Study-abroad's Scandinavian Furniture Design program. The basis for the Denmark Chair is to compare the relationship of Chinese calligraphy to Scandinavian design, both in simplicity and line/form.

Demilune

White Oak and Mahogany Inspired by a traditional French/Italian furniture form as well as the ocean. "Demilune" challenged my ability as a designer and maker to think, create, and fabricate curves in rotated planes.

Canasta Reliquary

Dedicated to my mother "Canasta Reliquary" commemorates the influence my mother has had on me growing up. My brother and I would always get the cards sticky, bent, and covered in food while playing Canasta, so my mother started to hide the decks of cards sometimes quite elaborately.

Hand Joinery Bedside Table

This was my first project completed at Rochester Institute of Technology. The requirements for this piece were to use all hand tools to make a small table, the bandsaw was used to rough out general shapes. Every finished surface and all joints are created using solely hand tools.
